Pupils at our school benefit from a wide range of extra-curricular events & activities. Details and pictures provided below.

Clubs

This academic year we have provided the following clubs:

Each year group gets the chance to go on one local and one out-of-town trip each. Trips from Academic Year 2024-2025 include:

Catalyst Science and Discovery Centre
National Justice Museum
Science and Industry Museum, Manchester
Delivery of donations and tour @ East Lancashire Hospice
Delivery of food collection and tour @ Nightsafe Emergency Night Shelter
Observation of court proceedings @ Preston Crown Court
Orienteering @ Witton Park
Geography field trips to Blackburn Town Centre & Cuerden Valley Park
Whole school trip to Bradford for a sports tournament against other Muslim schools
Eccleston Equestrian Centre - best performers of Academic Year 2023-2024 took part in horse-riding and other activities

The following events are marked by workshops/activities taking place across the different cohorts:

Pupils benefit from a structured Careers Programme which includes the following events:

Post-16 Options & Careers Fair (attended by different providers covering A-Levels, technical and apprenticeship routes)
Work Experience Week
Guest speakers
National Careers Week

Classes compete to raise money for school projects by selling food, handcrafted items, etc. Pupils pick up various enterprise skills, including:

Anjuman: weekly gathering wherein pupils perform Quranic recitation, nashīds, and speeches on their chosen topics
Ḥalaqah: weekly study circles led by pupils from the upper years, covering various Islamic topics
Madrasah 'event days', such as Sunnah Foods Day, Muslim Inventions Day, etc.
